Accountor’s Financial Management Software unit received ISO 27001 certification

ISO 27001 certification

Accountor’s Financial Management Software has earned international ISO 27001 information security certificate. It is solid proof that our information security practices are aligned with globally recognised standards.

The certificate covers information systems, processes, ways of working and facilities for both core and support functions including provided solutions and services, software production, software development, operations, and businesses in Finland and Sweden.

“We are proud to have received the ISO 27001 certification. ISO 27001 is a globally recognised information security management standard. Achieving it requires a systematic approach to managing information security risks as well as continuous assessment and development of operations. It shows that we take information security seriously and are able to provide our customer companies with a safe and compliant environment”, says Mikko Soirola, Head of FMS Cluster.

Information security is of utmost importance in financial management as it involves companies’ and often also its customers’ and employees’ sensitive data. Accountor has been developing its data security measures for years to ensure the safe processing of its customers’ data.

In addition to the certified methods, the Financial Management Software unit adheres to and implements the best information security practices in the industry. The unit evaluates and develops its information security and data protection processes, trains its employees, and monitors and implements the requirements and changes of the latest laws and regulations. Its capabilities are now also proven to be future-proof, for example, for the requirements of the upcoming EU-wide cybersecurity legislation (NIS2 Directive), as the law is in many ways equal with the requirements of the ISO 27001 standard.
